How the project came about

This project grew out of some research conducted at UCL, and is funded by the medical research foundation and in collaboration with mini-MAC.

We came up with the idea of writing lyrics, music and making a video we wanted a new way of talking about our experiences with cannabis and some of the science that would stimulate people to have a debate about cannabis.

Music and Change use music to get young people talking about lots of different issues relating to mental health, and cannabis use is something that affects mental health in young people.

Who is involved

The lyrics were written by Hef and Elson from Music and Change, and Rachet produced the music. Celia Morgan, Louise Noronha and Chandni Hindocha from UCL co-ordinated the project, Kate Anderson did the animation and Will Stewart built the website. Will Lawn is the webmaster.

What’s next

We’re now taking the project in schools to get people talking about cannabis and writing their own lyrics. If you feel inspired then post some lyrics using the tab above – if we like them enough you might get a video animated too.
